Description : A beautiful bronze sculpture of Krishna the Divine cow herder as a baby holding a pot with butterballs. He is affectionately referred to as Bala Krishna or baby Krishna. As restless babies Krishna and his older brother, Balarama would steal jars or yogurt and butter from their families stocks or from the kitchens of their village neighbors. This sculpture captures Krishna in the act as he is cradling the butter pot with one hand as he samples some butter with his other hand. He is seated on a diamond shaped base with his legs splayed out to his right. He is mostly nude wearing only simple necklaces and ornaments. A beautiful representation of Bala Krishna!
